We are delighted to announce the appointment of Luke Wolfenden as the new Co-ordinating Editor of Cochrane Public Health Group (CPH) based at the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health, Melbourne, Australia.
Luke has authored systematic reviews published by the World Health Organization, Cochrane and range of international peer reviewed journals. He currently holds a National Health and Medical Research Council Fellowship in the school of Medicine and Public Health at the University of Newcastle (Australia) and has worked as a public health practitioner for more than a decade.
In these roles, Luke has considerable experience in the production and use of systematic reviews for public health decision making. He is a member of the Cochrane Living Systematic Review Network and a founding member of the Campbell Collaboration’s Knowledge Translation and Implementation group. Luke is also an advocate for improvements in the process of systematic review production and dissemination as a means of facilitating knowledge transfer.
Luke Wolfenden said: “I am delighted to take this position and very much look forward to the work. Cochrane Public Health has a broad scope covering various issues assessing the effects of population-level public health interventions. My goal is to continue to strengthen the quality, relevance and impact of Cochrane Public Health reviews"
